Advocate Today for Tomorrow's Future
Maryland has the largest cybersecurity employee population in the country, and a growing talent pool of 115,000 IT professionals. The completion of Port Covington in Baltimore, also known as Cyber Town USA, will solidify Maryland as the leading industry hub for cybersecurity.
Maryland’s proximity to Washington D.C. has given us an advantage in these industries, as we are home to 60 federal agencies, including the National Security Agency (NSA), and over 20 military facilities.
Additionally, we have leading educational institutions preparing even more talent to enter the cybersecurity and IT industries, of which more than a dozen are certified by the NSA and U.S. Department of Homeland Security as Centers of Academic Excellence.
As the Maryland Chamber of Commerce, it’s our responsibility to protect and support the cyber and IT community but we can’t do it alone, we need you!
Your support allows us to have a stronger more unified voice when advocating for cyber and IT in Maryland. To better understand industry-related legislation in Maryland and to learn how you can get involved, we’ve created a free comprehensive policy report for you to download.
